Esenboga International Airport, located in the north of the city, is the main airport of Ankara. The bus lines constitute the main means of inter-city transportation in Turkey, and Ankara Intercity Bus Terminal (Turkish: Ankara Şehirlerarası Terminal İşletmesi, AŞTİ) is an important part of the network. The railstation "Ankara Garı" of Turkish Republic Railways (Turkish: Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devlet Demiryolları, TCDD) is an important hub connecting western and eastern parts of the country.
EGO (Elektrik Gaz Otobüs) operates the public transportation. There are currently two subway lines in the city and three more are under construction.

Esenboga International Airport (IATA:ESB, ICAO:LTAC) is an airport in Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. It has been operating since 1955. It is located in the north of Ankara, 28 km from the center. Transportation to the city center is by taxi and by bus.
Esenboga International Airport is a CATII airport. Airport has a total area of 7.500.000 m². Domestic Terminal has a closed area of 7.500 m² and International Terminal has a closed area 7.950 m².
There are two 3750x60 meter 3750x45 meter paved runways. There are also 1 VIP lounge and 1 CIP lounge.
New Domestic and International Terminals are under construction. Construction started in October 2004 and expected to finish within 36 months.

Turkish State Railways
Turkish State Railways (TCDD, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devlet Demiryolları) is the state corporation that operates the public railway system in Turkey. The organization was founded in 1927 to take over the operation of railways in Anatolia, which up until then had been run and financed by private corporations.
Today the TCDD operates over 8500 kilometres of railway lines.
